Thank you for your interest in land sailing. A sport which combines the adrenalin of motor racing and the skill of high speeds.

Land yachts accelerate like a motor cycle and handles like a go-kart. With your eyes just 400mm(16\")above the ground the sensation of speed is incredible! Even the small yachts can travel at over 100 km and the lifting a wheel at speed has to be experienced to be believed.

Land sailing is a enviroment friendly sport. The yachts use none of the earth dwindling fossile fuels reserves does not produce any pollution, does not damage to the surface of the beach that the yachts travel over (they don`t drive the wheels and tear at the surface). Land sailors use natrural flat areas (dry lakesbeds and tidal beaches) without vegetation and don`t need speacially constructed tracks.

Plans The Adelaide Land Yacht Club has plans for sale by mail order for the "Pacific Magic" and the "Australin Fed 5. Both of these yachts are designed for high- speed racing and to conform to the class 5 international design parameters. Low maintenance requirements and simple construction adds up to conform to a machine that gives maxium fun for minium work (more time sailing ). All welded parts are steel to eliminate the need for specialist alloy tubing is use for axle tubes and the mast and the spars to keep weight to a minimun
